Paul Andreas Paulsen is my Mother's (Ingrid Paulsen) father. He together with
his brother Johan Paulsen settled on the southern end of the Island of Hinnoya
on Oskfjorden. The nearest City is Svolvar, Norway, and in 1994 when I visited
Somerset it took 21/2 hours on the mail boat which traveled approxiemately 20
knots per hour. The two brothers each built a home in this isolation to rear
their families in. I am not certain how many of the six children were born in
this home but in all probability my mother who was the yougest was born there.
They named he small settlement Somerset. Besta far Paulsen was a fisherman.Documentation on this entire family is taken from The Family Ellingsen,
